Trust and privacy
This notice explains how Please Reuse handles personal data for its UAE marketplace, including listings, WhatsApp verification and private seller-contact requests.
Public beta notice · Last updated 28 October 2026Please Reuse acts as the controller for personal data processed through this UAE public beta. The operator's legal name, trade-licence details, registered address and permanent support contact will be displayed before paid listings are enabled.
We intend to process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL), applicable consumer-protection requirements and other applicable UAE laws. This notice does not limit any mandatory rights.
Approved listing content, a seller's display name, general area, price and listing status may be public and may be distributed through an approved Please Reuse WhatsApp Channel. Exact addresses, account emails and seller phone numbers are not displayed publicly.
A seller's private number may be released only for a specific live listing to a signed-in buyer whose WhatsApp number has been verified, where the seller enabled WhatsApp enquiries. Contact-release events may be logged for safety, abuse prevention and dispute handling.
Please Reuse may use automated systems to identify spam, fraud, unsafe items and prohibited content. High-confidence cases may be blocked or restricted automatically; ambiguous cases may be escalated to human review. You may request human review of a significant automated moderation decision through the support channel when available.
Some service providers may process data outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred internationally, Please Reuse will use a transfer basis and safeguards permitted by Articles 22 and 23 of the UAE PDPL, as applicable, and limit access to what is necessary for the service.
A listing normally remains public for no more than 30 days and may disappear sooner if sold, cancelled or removed. The underlying account, listing, moderation, contact-release and transaction records may be retained for longer where reasonably needed for account administration, security, fraud prevention, complaints, legal claims, tax or regulatory duties. Data that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymised, subject to lawful retention obligations.
We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, access controls and private database areas for sensitive contact data. No online system is completely secure. If a personal-data breach occurs, Please Reuse will investigate and notify the UAE Data Office and affected individuals where required by applicable law.
Please Reuse currently uses essential authentication, security and language-preference technologies. We do not currently use personal data for third-party advertising or sell it. Optional analytics or marketing technologies will not be added without the notices and choices required by applicable law.
The marketplace is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or publish listings. If we learn that a child's personal data was collected contrary to applicable requirements, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Privacy requests may be submitted through the support address displayed on the site once activated. We may update this notice when features, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site and consent will be requested again where legally required.
