Marketplace rules
These Terms govern the Please Reuse UAE public beta and explain the marketplace service, listing fees, safety controls and the responsibilities of buyers and sellers.
Public beta terms · Last updated 28 October 2026The service is currently a public beta operated under the Please Reuse brand. No live listing-payment service is enabled. The operator's legal name, trade licence, registered address and permanent customer-support channel will be published before paid listings are activated.
These Terms are intended to operate consistently with UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, as amended by Federal Decree-Law No. 5 of 2023, Cabinet Resolution No. 66 of 2023, Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 on Modern Technology-Based Trade, Cabinet Resolution No. 200 of 2025 and other applicable UAE laws. Mandatory legal rights are not excluded by these Terms.
Please Reuse provides listing, discovery, moderation and contact-facilitation tools. Unless expressly stated for a separate service, Please Reuse does not own, inspect or take title to listed items and is not the buyer, seller, delivery provider or payment guarantor for the private exchange between users.
Buyers and sellers decide whether to proceed, inspect the item, agree the item price and arrange a lawful handover. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or obligations that apply to a business seller, consumer, marketplace or service provider under UAE law.
Seller phone numbers and exact addresses are not public. A buyer must sign in and verify their own WhatsApp number before requesting private seller contact. Contact may be released only for the specific live listing where the seller enabled WhatsApp enquiries.
Contact requests and releases may be logged. Do not scrape numbers, send spam, harass users, request another person's verification code or use contact details for unrelated marketing. Access may be restricted or reported where misuse or safety concerns arise.
We may review, reject, limit, pause, rank or remove listings and accounts to enforce policy, protect users or comply with law. Automated systems may block high-confidence fraud, spam, unsafe items or prohibited content; ambiguous cases may receive human review. A user may request review of a significant automated moderation outcome through the support channel when available.
Payments are not yet enabled, so no listing fee is currently collected through the site. Before checkout is activated, Please Reuse will display the final payable amount in AED, including any applicable VAT or mandatory charge, the payment provider, service description and applicable cancellation and refund terms before confirmation, and will provide an appropriate transaction record or invoice.
Once payments are enabled, duplicate or unauthorised charges, failure to provide the purchased listing service, and other refund or cancellation requests will be handled under the checkout terms and mandatory UAE law. Removal requested after publication does not automatically create a refund where the purchased service has already been supplied, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Private users are responsible for their own item exchange. Where a seller acts as a trader or supplier, that seller remains responsible for applicable licensing, accurate Arabic product information, declared prices, invoices, warranties, returns, product safety and consumer remedies. Users must not use Please Reuse to avoid obligations imposed by UAE consumer law.
Approved live listings may be distributed through a public Please Reuse WhatsApp Channel and link back to the unique listing page. WhatsApp, Meta, telecommunications, mapping and future payment services are operated by third parties under their own terms. Please Reuse is not responsible for a third party's independent service, but remains responsible for its own duties where the law requires.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Please Reuse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for the listing's lifetime and reasonable archival period to host, reproduce, format, moderate and distribute that content for operating, securing and promoting the marketplace, including approved Channel distribution. You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this licence and that the content does not infringe another person's rights.
You may stop using the service and request account closure. We may restrict or close accounts, cancel contact access, or remove content for breach, fraud, safety, legal or operational reasons. Records may still be retained where reasonably required for security, disputes, legal claims or regulatory duties.
The beta may change, experience interruptions or contain errors. Use reasonable care when communicating, inspecting items and arranging handovers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Please Reuse is not responsible for user-generated descriptions, an item's condition or private arrangements between users. Nothing excludes liability, compensation rights or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Raise a complaint through the support channel displayed on the site once activated. We will aim to review complaints fairly and promptly. If a consumer complaint is not resolved, mandatory rights to contact the UAE Ministry of Economy or the competent authority in the relevant emirate remain available.
These Terms are governed by the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where relevant, the laws of the competent emirate. Disputes are subject to the competent UAE courts unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Arabic and English versions are intended to have the same meaning; if they conflict, the Arabic version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms for new features, providers, prices or legal requirements. Material changes will be highlighted before they take effect. Where the law requires renewed acceptance or consent, continued use alone will not replace that requirement.
